1. Be passionate about your work.

Being a graphic designer is not as easy as other people think. If you choose this career for a living, that’s good. But don’t design only for money. You might end up taking projects you don’t like and become unsatisfied.

If you continue accepting projects because of the money, you might turn out to be miserable and might lose interest on what you’re doing. Why? because you don’t love that job.

Tips: Be more selective on choosing a project so you can be passionate about your craft. It is not all about earning because money will come if you love what you’re doing.

2. Keep practicing everyday.

Remember to become successful, you should be known for the original stuff you make. Copying others work practice purpose is good, you’ll learn new techniques by doing so. But don’t copy other designers work exactly then claiming that you own it.

Tips: Have some inspiration, it’s not bad to check out other designers masterpiece. Do it to expand your imagination and creativity. Try experimenting and also develop your own style and become known where your good at.

6. Take a break.

I know and I said a while ago you should practice and design every day. Sometimes it becomes so addicting or maybe we have too much projects and deadlines to meet.

It’s great to push ourselves to the limit in order to succeed but the truth is you’re not going to succeed you put up bad work. What I mean is if you work very extensively, chances are you’ll get exhausted.

This can affect your creativity so instead of producing a great design, you end up getting unwanted results. Creativity does run out and sometimes we can hit some road blocks and one way to jump over it is to take a small break.

Tips: Have a day off if you’re working hard for the whole week. If you’re sitting for hours in front of your monitor, take an hour break. Have a walk outside or relax and take zip a coffee.

It’s important to also rest your brain from thinking and processing at work.  it’s good for your brain mental stability. It can help refresh your mind and be more prepared to work again.

By taking a small break your going to be refilling that creativity and your going be much stronger and creativity is going to show through your work.

Do it naturally and just go with the flow. Take care of your body as it is your biggest investment. When you’re tired take some rest to get best results.
